With its roots in preschool enrichment programs, Bricks Bots & Beakers’ approach is a learner-centered philosophy that always places student interests and passions at the forefront of our curriculum development.
Over the years, we’ve come to understand that whether we’re refining our STEAM teaching methods, gathering feedback from parents on our enrichment programs, or developing a new series of STEAM classes, this approach means one thing:

As both educators and parents, this approach is formative in how we’ve structured the B3 experience, from developing our STEAM curriculum to the training we offer our franchisees to running our programs.
Kids Learn Best When They Are Having Fun
Our classes are designed to create an environment that fosters curiosity and engages a child's natural desire to learn, create and make things happen.
When your child gets to use a “hands on, minds on” approach, it may look like a rambunctious mess—but they are discovering solutions, constructing knowledge, learning through trial and error, experiencing success and failure as they learn to persevere and discover how and why things work.
These “a-ha moments”—seeing the wonder on a child’s face as they create a chemical reaction, hearing shouts of excitement, smiling at the squeals of glee as they combine materials to create a polymer (also known as slime)—these are the moments that our STEAM classes foster.

The evolving landscape of technology, science, and communication requires an equally transformed 21st century skill set—and the 4Cs of 21st century education foster just that.
Our learner-centered philosophy incorporates the 4 Cs (Critical Thinking, Collaboration, Communication, and Creativity & Innovation) in various ways throughout our educational programs. For example, students often work in pairs or groups, which fosters their Collaboration and Communication skills and sometimes even conflict management skills!

Our History
Bricks Bots & Beakers is a STEAM learning brand backed by the founding team of The Whole Child Learning Company.
Whole Child was originally created to provide quality enrichment classes based on developmentally appropriate practices and early childhood education theory, delivered by qualified, experienced teachers. Our 20 years of experience in children’s educational enrichment informed our approach to developing B3’s enrichment programs, as we saw a growing need and demand for a fusion of school-age classes, STEAM camps, and STEAM programs.
